Dr. Sabine Barford is the leader of this dental team. Starting her career, she trained as a dental surgeon at the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany, 1982. Coupled with her doctoral thesis which covered the treatment of cancers in the head and neck region she gained experience in Germany.
After her studies, she worked as an assistant dentist in two practises before opening her own surgery in Berlin 1986. Following this, Sabine received her Australian skills recognition through ADEC in Melbourne in 1993 and in 1994 she moved to Australia to live with her husband and took over the established dental surgery in Newport in 2000.
Sabine is also a member of the ITI (International Team for Implantology).
Dr. Justin Barford graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Sydney in 2021 and has been working with the team since early 2022. Justin grew up on the Northern Beaches and brings a fresh perspective to the surgery. Through clear communication Justin’s warm and approachable demeanour creates a comfortable atmosphere for patients of all ages.
Both Dr. Barford’s are registered Dental Surgeons with AHPRA, members of the Australian Dental Association and members of the Manly Warringah Dental Study group. They are committed to provide a caring and personal atmosphere for all of patients. They are passionate about beautiful teeth and a healthy mouth. Attending study groups, conferences and continuous training and professional development courses guarantee, that up to date techniques are incorporated in to well established dentistry.

Meet our dental support team. Competent and friendly, they will help you to settle comfortably into treatment. Sally and Simone are a long-standing part of the team and have worked with us for 20 years. Lisa is a more recent addition to the team, who brings with her more than 15 years experience.
